Sparking Generosity for a Decade: Give for Good Louisville registration opens

About the Giving Day

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Give for Good Louisville, an online giving day event organized by the Community Foundation of Louisville. On Thursday, September 14, community members across an 8-county Kentuckiana region will come together to support hundreds of local organizations by making a gift online at www.GiveforGoodLouisville.org.

Over the past decade, Give for Good Louisville raised $50.6 million for local organizations in Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer, and Bullitt Counties in Kentucky and Clark, Floyd, and Harrison Counties in Indiana.

“We are thrilled to host the 10th Annual Give for Good Louisville on Thursday, September 14,” said Ron Gallo, President & CEO of the Community Foundation. “Over the years, the people of Kentuckiana have demonstrated their commitment and love for humanity. We invite you to work with our local organizations to resolve the challenges and social ills in our community. When we mobilize people, capital, and networks to create an opportunity for all, it results in breakthrough solutions.”

Charitable organizations of all sizes are encouraged to participate in the day of collaboration and fun. Give for Good Louisville is a cost-effective way for organizations to:

  • Gain new donors
  • Raise money
  • Increase exposure to a broad audience

Nonprofit organizations, churches, governmental units, veterans’ organizations, educational institutions, and several other types of organizations are eligible.

The Community Foundation of Louisville will equip organizations with the tools they need to have a successful giving day using the nonprofit toolkit and offer in-person and virtual trainings to nonprofit professionals. Participating organizations are invited to attend the Giving Day Workshop on June 27, 9 a.m. – noon, sponsored by 20/Twenty Strategic Consultants.

Organizations can register from June 1 through July 2 at www.GiveforGoodLouisville.org.

Several Kentuckiana funders have already united for the common good by donating hundreds of thousands of dollars to this year’s prize pool. Throughout the giving day, participating organizations can earn extra cash prizes thanks to our generous partners, including Sam Swope Family Foundation, Churchill Downs Incorporated, William O. Alden Jr., Derby City Gaming, Caesars Foundation of Floyd County, and LG&E and KU Energy Foundation.
