Historic flooding has brought widespread destruction across Kentuckiana. Here are various ways you can support the immediate and long-term impact of the April 2025 floods in Kentucky:

KHS is encouraging supporters to donate directly to the impacted local shelters (Hopkins, Carroll, Franklin and Anderson County shelters), adopt or foster animals relocated to KHS, or consider supporting KHS’s broader disaster response work through donations or grants.

They are an active member of VOAD (National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster) and are coordinating needed relief efforts with American Red Cross.

- In response to recent flooding across several states, WaterStep is helping communities gain access to safe water for drinking, cooking, and hygiene. Our teams are working directly with response teams and community leaders to restore basic needs and prevent the spread of disease. To support these efforts, we’re using our WOWCarts—mobile water treatment systems that can provide up to 10,000 gallons of safe water each day. We’re also deploying our BleachMakers, compact devices that empower local responders to produce hospital-grade disinfectant using only water, salt, and a small power source. The disinfectant exceeds World Health Organization standards and is critical for successful cleanup efforts and protecting people from disease.
