Donna Browne

Donna Browne joined the Foundation in 2024 as the Senior Associate for Community Leadership, bringing 25 years of successful experience as an administrative professional. Donna excels in organization and project coordination. Her previous role at a nonprofit affiliated with a large university gave her extensive experience collaborating with multiple community partners, with the volunteers being her favorite to work with. Inspired by Maya Angelou’s words, “Develop enough courage so that you can stand up for yourself and then stand up for somebody else.” Donna strives to embody this philosophy in her work.

Donna has found working for the Foundation to be rewarding in many ways. She has the privilege of working with nonprofits and seeing how their mission-driven work has a measurable impact on the community. The environment is collaborative and prioritizes personal growth, and she is proud to tell people she works at the Community Foundation of Louisville.

A lifelong resident of Louisville, Donna is immensely proud of her wonderful family. She is also fulfilling a lifelong goal by returning to school to complete her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. In her free time, Donna enjoys a good Netflix binge and is an avid reader. Interestingly, her claim to fame is that she has never eaten at a Waffle House.
