Dr. Susan Zepeda

Susan G. Zepeda is a strategic planning, change management, and organizational development consultant. Former President and CEO of the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky (2005-2016), she advises foundations and other nonprofits on strategic planning, program evaluation, succession planning, and policy advocacy. Before joining the Foundation in 2005, she was the first CEO of The HealthCare Foundation for Orange County (1999-2005) and, prior to that, Director of the San Luis Obispo County (CA) Health Agency and CEO of that County’s General Hospital. She has served on national and regional Boards, including Grantmakers for Effective Organizations, Grantmakers in Health, Southeastern Council of Foundations, and the National Association for County and City Health Officials. A textile artist and folk art collector, she has served on the Boards of the Fullerton (CA) Museum Center, Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft, and Friends of the Kentucky Folk Art Center.
Dr. Zepeda holds degrees from Brown University, the University of Arizona, and International College and has completed the Harvard University Program on Negotiation for Senior Executives.
