Shawn Sparks

Shawn Sparks is the Director of Advisor Services & Business Development for the Community Foundation of Louisville. In this role, Shawn serves as a subject matter expert and resource to professional advisors such as attorneys, CPAs, financial planners, wealth advisors, and trust officers on how the Community Foundation can help their clients incorporate charitable giving strategies into their wealth management plans. He also oversees two Community Foundation of Louisville affiliates: the Green River Area Community Foundation and Oldham County Community Foundation.

Prior to joining the Foundation in September 2024, Shawn spent more than 20 years with the Kentucky Public Pensions Authority in various Director roles, most recently serving as Director of Communications, where he was responsible for managing the Board of Trustees’ and Executive Team’s government and media relations and educational outreach efforts.

Previously, Shawn was a broadcast producer/writer for a Louisville-based independent video production company. He is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a double major in Broadcasting/Communications and Political Science and holds a Masters of Business Administration from Morehead State University.
